Cairo, May 7 (HS). To stop the war with Israel that has been going on for the last seven months, the extremist group Hamas has accepted the ceasefire proposal presented by Egypt and Qatar. This was confirmed in a statement issued by Hamas.
Regarding the ceasefire proposal, Hamas issued a statement on Monday saying that Hamas's supreme leader Ismail Haniya gave this information over the phone to the Prime Minister of Qatar and the Minister of Intelligence of Egypt. These two countries of the Middle East have been mediating the ongoing talks between Israel and Hamas for months. Israel did not immediately comment on the matter.
