Hyundai to launch Creta EV early next year, while 5 other SUVs are also in the pipeline
Hyundai is preparing to expand its SUV portfolio in India with new models in the coming years. The lineup includes the updated Tuscon, all-electric Creta and the next-generation Venue, which is due to arrive in 2025. 1. Hyundai Creta EV
Hyundai is preparing to launch a midsize electric SUV early next year, which will be built on the K2 platform. This new EV aims to capitalize on the rapidly growing electric vehicle market in India and will take on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki E Vitara, its Toyota counterpart and electric SUVs like the newly launched Tata Curve EV and Mahindra BE 6e.
2. New Generation Hyundai Venue
Hyundai is preparing to unveil the next-generation Venue next year, revamping its popular compact SUV, while the current model is known for its extensive feature set. The new version is expected to come with updated exterior styling and better interior features. Despite these upgrades, powertrain options are expected to remain the same as the current model.
3. Hyundai Tucson Facelift
Hyundai introduced the redesigned Tushun globally late last year. The front now gets a new grille, updated lighting elements, new skid plates and fresh alloy wheels, while the rear gets a number of cosmetic changes. Its cabin has been modernized with a new dashboard layout and attractive panoramic display. These updates are expected to be a part of the Indian version when it arrives in 2025.
4. Hyundai Bayon Compact SUV
A compact SUV based on the global Hyundai Bayon is expected to arrive in the Indian market in the near future. With a specific design, it can be positioned between the Venue and Creta in Hyundai’s lineup. The upcoming model will likely be sold in the Indian market with multiple powertrain options to grab a larger customer base.
5&6. Hyundai Inster EV and Hybrid SUV
Hyundai is set to introduce a budget electric compact SUV by 2026, taking inspiration from the internationally available Inster EV. Additionally, the brand is reportedly developing a 7-seater C-segment SUV, which will be positioned above the Alcazar, which will feature a hybrid powertrain.
