Team India started to bat first after losing the toss and KL Rahul (2 runs) fell on the score of 15 runs.
After this, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Karun Nair, while handling the innings, shared an 80 -run partnership for the second wicket. Nair was dismissed by 31 runs, while Jaiswal scored a brilliant innings of 87 runs but missed a century. He was caught out by Ben Stokes.
