India Pakistan Tension: IT ministry issued instructions, keep these things in mind
Guidelines issued for social media users.
There is a war -like situation between India and Pakistan at this time. Pakistan is constantly trying to incite India with the action taken by India after the Pahalgam attack. Pakistan is continuously carrying out airstrikes in India. However, all its air strikes have been completely thwarted by the Indian Air Defense System. It is believed that Pakistan can also resort to digital world with the intention of harming India. Keeping this in mind, some instructions have been issued by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology for citizens.
In the midst of a stressful atmosphere, the IT Ministry has released a list in which citizens have been told ‘what to do and what not to do’. The Ministry has released this list on social media platform x for safety of citizens. Let us tell you that after Operation Sindoor, various misleading news is being spread on social media, and to save people from these, now a guideline has been issued by the ministry.
Meity has posted on X and has been asked to be cautious and become responsible for the civilians of the country. The ministry wrote to take care of online security in the Internet world. If you are online, then be alert and avoid getting caught in any kind of fake and misleading information. The ministry wrote- Become a patriot, be cautious and be safe. WhatsApp number and email ID have also been given by the Ministry to report wrong information. If you get a fake and misleading news, then you can report by WhatsApp on the number 8799711259. Apart from this, you also have the option to mail such news on socialmedia@pib.gov.in.
What should internet users do?
- If you are using internet, then only share government information, helpline number and correct information about relief work with others.
- If you are sharing any news, first check its truth from government sources.
- If you see any wrong news on the digital world, then report it immediately.
Internet users ‘what not to do’
- Do not share information about army activities on social media platform or any other platform.
- Do not extend any information without checking
- Do not share such posts on social media or on any other platform that can promote communicable stress.
Let us tell you that India is constantly taking strict steps against Pakistan to fight terrorism. After Operation Sindoor, instructions were also issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for OTT platform, media streaming service and other companies. The Ministry had instructed all the platforms to immediately ban Pakistan’s web series, songs, podcasts, web series and other programs in India.
