New Delhi: The U19 Team India will take on Pakistan U19 in a group-stage clash of ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2024 at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai on Saturday. The Boys in Blue will be aiming for their ninth title as they begin their quest for the elite trophy against their arch-rivals. India U19 last won the title in 2021 and Bangladesh U19 claimed it for the first time in 2023.

For this edition, the tournament is divided into two groups of four teams each. While five full-member teams are taking part in the event, they are joined by three teams that made it to the tournament after the qualifying rounds. The marquee event will be played in a fifty-over format. The tournament is considered to be a crucial platform for the upcoming cricketers in the Asian continent. It starts on November 29 and the final will be played on December 8.

India will be captained by Uttar Pradesh middle-order batter Mohammed Amaan. The squad also has 17-year-old Mumbai batter Ayush Mhatre who has been making headlines in the domestic circuit. 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi is also a part of the Indian squad. He recently became the youngest to bag an Indian Premier League (IPL) contract. Meanwhile, Pakistan will be led by Saad Baig who will have the company of Mohammad Riazullah, Shahzaib Khan, and Tayyab Arif who also featured in the previous edition.
