IPL 2024 auction list released, names of 333 players will be auctioned

On Monday, December 11, the IPL released the list of players included in the auction for the 2024 season (IPL 2024 Auction List). The future of a total of 333 players will be decided in the auction. A total of 7 players from Australia's World Cup winning team will be seen in the auction, which also includes the names of captain Pat Cummins, Travis Head and Mitchell Starc.

The 333 players participating in the auction include 214 Indian and 119 foreign (2 Associate) players. The total players include 116 capped, 215 uncapped and 2 associate players. A total of 77 slots are available across the 10 franchises, of which 30 are overseas slots.

The highest base price for the auction is Rs 2 crore, in which a total of 23 players have registered their names, which also includes the names of Harshal Patel, Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav from India. Other players included in the base price of Rs 2 crore are Harry Brook, Travis Head, Riley Rousseau, Steve Smith, Gerald Coetzee, Pat Cummins, Chris Woakes, Josh Inglis, Lockie Ferguson, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Adil Rashid, Rassi. Van der Dussen, James Vince, Shaun Abbott, Jamie Overton, David Willey, Ben Duckett and Mustafizur Rahman.

The second highest base price of Rs 1.5 crore does not include any Indian. This includes Wanindu Hasaranga, Philip Salt, Colin Munro, Sherfane Rutherford, Tom Curran, Jason Holder, Mohammad Nabi, James Neesham, Daniel Sams, Chris Jordan, Tymal Mills, Jhye Richardson and Tim Southee.

At the base price of Rs 1 crore, 14 players have registered their names, which also includes Namibian all-rounder David Veje. New Zealand's star all-rounder Rachin Ravindra has kept his base price at just Rs 50 lakh.

The IPL auction will take place on December 19 at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, which will start at 2:30 pm Indian time. The total purse available to spend is Rs 262.95 crore. Kolkata Knight Riders (12) have the most spots to be filled, while Gujarat Titans have the highest amount in the auction (Rs 38.15 crore).

The auction will begin with the capped players, with the batsmen coming first, followed by all-rounders, wicketkeepers, fast bowlers and spinners in the order listed. The same order will be followed for uncapped players also.
