Fast bowler Mukesh Kumar, who changed. The game was in the Capitals' favor with the wickets of Ajinkya Rahane, Sameer Rizvi and Shivam Dubey, but all-rounder Sumit Kumar was not included in the squad in his place against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Mukesh, who suffered a muscle strain in the last game against Super Kings, bowled despite the injury and it seems the Capitals did not want to take any risks and hence was dropped. Captain Rishabh Pant said that Mukesh was injured and hence Sumit was replaced by him.

Not just Delhi, even Kolkata Knight Riders also changed their line-up and included Angrakrish Raghuvanshi in the playing eleven as they were batting first. KKR captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bat first after seeing what Delhi did in their last match against CSK.

In the absence of Mukesh, Anrich Nortje and Ishant Sharma will have to take over the responsibility of death bowling. Khaleel Ahmed and Ishant also performed well in the powerplay in the last game but Mukesh came to bowl only in the latter half of the innings and performed well for the team. But against KKR's heavy batting line-up, Delhi bowlers will have their work cut out for them, especially on a pitch like Vizag.
