Realme GT 7 Pro Challengers: There is a new Snapdragon flagship chip in tech town, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, and the recently launched Realme GT 7 Pro is the first phone to bring it to India. And it is not the only flagship spec that the phone brings along. The Realme GT 7 Pro is truly a Pro in more matters than one.

It comes with a 6.78 AMOLED four-sided curved display with 6500 nits peak brightness, 2780 x 1264 resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision and HDR 10+ support, with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection on top. The flagship level processor is backed by speedy LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The big numbers do not stop here. In the camera department, the Realme GT 7 Pro brings a triple camera setup comprising two 50-megapixel sensors- one main, with OIS and another telephoto with 3x optical zoom. There is a third one too – an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor.

The front camera fort is held by a 16-megapixel selfie sensor soldier. The phone features a huge 5800 mAh battery and comes with support for 120W fast charging, although it lacks wireless charging support.

The phone has glass on the front and back with an aluminum frame in the middle and making it even more sturdy is an IP69 rating, enabling it to survive in water. It runs on Realme UI based on Android 15 and stereo speakers.

All of these flagship specs come with a very competitive price tag of Rs 59,999. But even that super competitive price tag does not save the Realme GT 7 Pro from some intense competition.

There are existing phones as well as phones that are about to enter the Indian market that can be a pain point for the Realme GT 7 Pro, notwithstanding its impressive spec-price equation. Here are five phones that can be a real challenge to the latest Realme:

iQoo 13: More Than Matching GT 7 Pro

Price: Rs 55,000 – Rs 60,000 (expected)

iQoo is all set to launch the iQoo 13 on December 3, and from what we know, the phone is going to be a headache for many flagships, including the Realme GT 7 Pro. The iQoo 13 comes with a big 6.82-inch AMOLED display with 3168 x 1440 resolution and a high refresh rate of 144 Hz.

Like the Realme GT 7 Pro, it would also be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It outspecs the Realme GT 7 Pro in the camera department and brings three 50-megapixel sensors on the back – a main sensor with OIS, a telephoto with 2x optical zoom and OIS, and an ultrawide. A 32-megapixel sensor takes care of selfies and video calls.

It, too, has quite a big battery at 6,000 mAh with 120W fast charging support, although you do not get wireless charging support here either. The phone would come with FunTouchOS layered on top of Android 15 and is expected to bring an IP69 rating and stereo speakers as well.

All of this at a price tag that could be in the region of Rs 55,000 – Rs 60,000, makes it a real Realme pain.

Vivo X200: A Touch Of Zeiss

Price: Rs 60,000 – Rs 65,000 (expected)

If you like your phone cameras to come with some legendary camera name collaboration, the Vivo X200 is a great option. The phone has three 50-megapixel sensors on the back – a main sensor with OIS, a telephoto with 3x optical zoom and OIS and an ultrawide.

This setup is made in collaboration with Zeiss, giving you some Zeiss color options as well as shooting and editing choices.

There is a 32-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies and video calls. The phone is powered by a flagship ship as well – the MediaTekDimensity 9400 – and comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800 x 1260 and 120 Hz refresh rate.

It too boasts a big 5,800 mAh battery, although it charges slightly slower than the Realme GT 7 Pro at 90W fast. It will be coming with Android 15 topped with FunTouchOS and will feature stereo speakers and an IP69 rating as well.

Camera fans will be tempted by the Zeiss connection on this Realme GT 7 Pro challenger.

OnePlus 13: Ready To Slay More Flagships

Price: Rs 65,000 – Rs 70,000 (expected)

Another phone that has been launched in China and is set to make its way to India is from the OG flagship killer brand. OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 13 which will be a serious headache for the recently launched Realme GT 7 Pro. It is also powered by the Qualcomm 8 Elite processor and paired with ample speedy RAM and storage, is said t be a processing powerhouse.

The phone features a large 6.82-inch AMOLED display with Quad HD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. It will also come with three 50-megapixel cameras on the back– a main sensor with OIS, a telephoto with 3x zoom and OIS, and an ultrawide – all made in partnership with photography icon Hasselblad, giving users some Hasselblad special shooting modes.

Like many others in the list, it too features a 32-megapixel selfie camera. The phone runs on a large 6000 mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, with a charger in the box. It will come with Android 15 out of the box with OxygenOS on top, stereo speakers and an IP69 rating. Very unsettling for the Realme GT 7 Pro.

Oppo Find X8: Out For Blood

Price: Rs 69,999 onwards

One device that is already in the market and out for Realme GT 7 Pro’s blood, is the Oppo Find X8. The phone has a slightly smaller 6.59-inch AMOLED display but it comes with 120 Hz refresh rate with 4500 nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

Powering it is the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor, and the phone brings three 50-megapixel cameras on the back – main, ultrawide and periscope telephoto with 3X optical zoom – while a 32-megapixel selfie sensor resides on the front. It features a 5,630 mAh battery with support for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. Top this with stereo speakers, IP69 rating, Android 15 with ColorOS out of the box and you get a phone that would be a roadblock in the way of the Realme GT 7 Pro’s success.

iPhone 16: Can Challenge Any Pros

Price: Rs 77,900

This list may be crowded by everything Android but there is one iPhone in it and in our opinion, that one is enough. The newly launched iPhone 16 comes with the same price tag as its predecessor but has impressive add-ons that make it a problem for any new phone dropping in the proximity of its price, and the Realme GT 7 Pro is no exception.

The phone comes with a beautiful 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, although its 60 Hz refresh rate is a bit of a letdown.

Its processing powers come from Apple’s new A18 chipset (a truly new chipset for non-pro iPhones after two years), and there is a dual camera set up on the back featuring a 48-megapixel main and a 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor with autofocus . You also get a 12-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies and video calls that can also record videos in 4K.

You get Apple Intelligence on the phone which is Apple’s version of AI, iOS 18, stereo speakers, IP68 rating and a day’s worth of battery life with faster wireless charging now (same as wired- 25W).

You also get two new buttons – the Action button which can be customized to carry out one command of your choice (earlier exclusive to the Pros) and the truly new Camera Control button.

All of these make the iPhone 16 the iPhone that will trouble all Android flagships in the coming months, and the Realme GT 7 Pro is no exception.
