Politics heated again on the Waqf Bill.
The country’s politics has once again become hot over the Waqf Amendment Act. Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) chairman Jagdambika Pal has attacked Congress, RJD and Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday. He said that the opposition is only doing politics of appeasement, while the Waqf Amendment Act has been brought in the interest of the common poor and the Muslims.
What did Jagdambika Pal say about Owaisi?
On the Waqf Bill, JPC Chairman Jagdambika Pal has said that “Waqf property was being misused for a long time. The aim of this bill is to bring transparency and stop illegal occupations.” He also clarified that despite Owaisi’s party being only one MP in the Lok Sabha, he was included in the committee to maintain transparency. He alleged that Owaisi is helping those who are misusing Waqf properties.
What warns Tejashwi Yadav?
Jagdambika Pal has also targeted Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of RJD and son of Lalu Prasad Yadav. Jagdambika Pal said- “Tejashwi Yadav is an insult to the constitution to say that the bill will be thrown into the dustbin.” Jagdambika Pal also took the name of Rahul Gandhi and reminded that “Rahul Gandhi had also tore the bill first and the public replied to him. Now Tejashwi Yadav is doing the same work.”
Allegations of politics regarding Bihar elections
JPC chairman Jagdambika Pal has alleged that the opposition is doing politics on the Waqf Bill in view of the upcoming Bihar elections. He said- “There is mutual competition for Muslim vote bank between Congress, RJD and Owaisi. But the people of Bihar are sensible and will respond to this appeasement politics.”
