A Spanish woman was allegedly rapped in state’s Dumka last month

Last month, a 45-year-old Spanish woman was in the news after she was allegedly gang-raped in the state’s Dumka district. In her complaint, she had alleged that close to 8-10 men were involved in the crime. She was reportedly on tour with her husband. The woman had come to India by road from Bangladesh while going to Bihar and then Nepal. She and her husband had decided to camp in the Kurumahat area of the city for the night when the incident took place, the police added.

The woman then informed the police patrol team that was passing through the area. She was then taken to a hospital where a medical examination confirmed sexual assault on her.
