New Delhi. Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Monday recommended a National Investigation Agency probe against Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal in the case of allegedly receiving funds from banned terrorist organization Sikh for Justice.

In a letter to the Union Home Secretary, the Lieutenant Governor's Secretariat said Saxena had received a complaint that the Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party had allegedly received financial assistance of $16 million from extremist Khalistani groups to press for the release of Devendra Pal Bhullar.

It has been said in the letter that this letter to the Lieutenant Governor has been written by an organization called World Hindu Federation-India. It has been told that Aam Aadmi Party took this donation between 2014 and 2022.

The Lieutenant Governor in his letter said that there is a need for investigation including forensic examination of the electronic evidence given by the complainant. It is noteworthy that Kejriwal is lodged in Tihar jail in a money laundering case related to Delhi Excise Policy.
