Kishtwar Police attached properties of seven absconding terrorists operating from Pakistan.
Kishtwar. Kishtwar District Police in Jammu and Kashmir has successfully attached the properties of seven absconding terrorists operating from Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan. SSP Kishtwar Javed Iqbal Mir said that the attachment of these properties has been done after careful investigation and intelligence inputs. FIR number 272/2022 registered under sections 120-B, 121-A IPC and 13, 18, 39 UAPA at Police Station Kishtwar laid the foundation for this action. The investigation, led by chief investigating officer Deputy SP Vishal Sharma, was presented before the NIA special court, Doda. Earlier, 36 terrorists from Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan administered Kishtwar were declared fugitives by NIA Court, Doda.
According to a release issued by the police, properties of seven of these terrorists have been identified for attachment as part of legal proceedings. After reviewing the evidence, NIA Special Court, Doda Sudesh Sharma issued attachment orders under Section 83 CrPC vide order no. 757-59/FTC/D/NIA dated 27-11-2024. Following directions from NIA Court, Doda, SSP Kishtwar formed a special team of senior officers along with Executive Magistrates to execute the orders. The attached properties are marked with signboards to inform the general public.
ADGP Jammu Zone Anand Jain revealed that properties of 29 additional absconding terrorists have been identified and the process of their attachment is underway and will be completed soon which will further tighten the noose on terrorist operatives. ADGP Jammu confirmed that such action is part of a broader strategy aimed at dismantling the terror ecosystem, ensuring that no assets are used to finance or support anti-national activities. . ADGP Jammu gave a strict warning saying that those having anti-national intentions or giving any kind of support to terrorists will have to face serious consequences. He urged citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement agencies by reporting any suspicious activity, the statement said.
