Bihar: Leaders reacted to Indian team not going to play cricket in Pakistan

Patna, 29 November (IANS). Congress MLA Shakeel Ahmed Khan gave a big reaction on the Indian team not going to play cricket in Pakistan and said that India’s tradition is to maintain good relations with neighboring countries.

He said, “I have always believed that India has a tradition of maintaining good relations with neighboring countries. People who believe in friendship and peace with others will want this and will support it. However, the final decision regarding foreign policy is taken by the Ministry of External Affairs.”

Meanwhile, AIMIM MLA Akhtarul Islam Shaheen said that sports increases friendship and reduces enmity. Friendship should increase and enmity should end. There should be no politics in this matter.

BJP MLA Pawan Jaiswal said, “Tejashwi Yadav himself has played cricket. He has always been fond of cricket. Although at that time he never thought about Pakistan, but ever since he entered politics, he only cares about minorities. And only Pakistan comes to mind.

Opposition leader in Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav said that politics in sports is not a good thing. Anyone can go play anywhere. No matter where anyone goes, people from all countries should come to our country, those who do politics on this is not right. The game should be seen from a sporting perspective. India should go to play Pakistan, what is the objection? There should be no politics in sports.

Tejashwi Yadav said why Indian cricket team should not go to Pakistan? Didn’t you go earlier? It is a good thing if the Prime Minister goes to eat biryani, but not a good thing if the Indian team goes?

According to a report, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has informed the ICC that the Indian team will not go to Pakistan to participate in the 2025 Champions Trophy. According to the report, BCCI has told ICC that it has been advised by the Indian Government not to send Team India to Pakistan.

The Champions Trophy is to be played between eight teams from 19 February to 9 March. It is expected that a hybrid model will be adopted for this competition.
