Major action by security forces in Chhattisgarh, encounter between Naxalites, 30 Maoists killed

Narayanpur. Information is being received that 24 Naxalites were killed in the encounter between security forces and Naxalites on the border of Naxal-affected Narayanpur and Dantewada districts of Chhattisgarh.

Police officials said that after receiving information about the presence of Naxalites on the border of Narayanpur and Dantewada districts, security forces were sent for anti-Naxal operation. A large number of automatic weapons have been recovered from the spot. The encounter continues.

Bodies of 14 Naxalites have been recovered. Encounter is still on. Due to it being night, the police is not able to clarify how many Naxalites have been killed in the encounter. The number of Naxalites killed may increase beyond 24.

It is being told that the number of Naxalites killed in this encounter may increase further, currently searching is going on in the entire area. If sources are to be believed, about 24 Naxalites were killed in this encounter.

According to the information received, when the security forces reached the place where there was information about the presence of Naxalites at around one o’clock, the Naxalites started firing. Police officials said that after the incident, security forces also retaliated. He told that the encounter is going on between the joint forces and Naxalites of Narayanpur and Dantewada districts. There is intermittent firing in the area. Officials said that information has been received that all the soldiers are safe in the encounter.
