JSW MG Motor India reports sales of 6,019 units in November 2024, a growth of 20 per cent year-on-year compared to November 2023
MG Motor India has recorded an impressive sales performance in November 2024 and achieved total sales of 6,019 units, a strong growth of 20 per cent year-on-year as compared to 4,154 units sold in November 2023. This remarkable achievement reflects the company’s growing presence in the Indian market. However, in October 2024, MG had sold a total of 7,045 units.
MG Windsor has been a major contributor to this success, outperforming other models in the electric vehicle (EV) segment. With wholesale sales of 3,144 units in November, the Windsor retained its top spot in the company’s EV charts for the second consecutive month. The Windsor demonstration underlines the growing consumer trend towards eco-friendly mobility solutions, highlighting the focus on reliability and advanced technology across MG Motor’s EV lineup.
JSW MG Motor India had sold 3,116 units of its newly introduced MG Windsor in October 2024. MG Windsor EV is priced competitively starting at Rs 9.99 lakh. For customers interested in Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, a rental option is available at Rs 3.5 per km. For those who want to buy the vehicle including battery, prices start at Rs 13.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
New energy vehicles (NEVs) accounted for more than 70 percent of the company’s total sales during this month. Other models in the MG lineup have also contributed significantly to the company’s total sales. The company’s portfolio currently includes MG Comet EV, ZS EV, Windsor EV, Astor, Gloster and Hector.
The 20 per cent YoY growth is in line with MG Motor India’s strategic focus on sustainable growth and meeting evolving consumer preferences. The company is expected to continue to leverage its cars and technological advancements to take advantage of the growing Indian automotive market.
JSW MG Motor India will launch several new cars in India next year including the Gloster facelift and it has been spotted testing several times. Apart from this, MG will sell premium cars through its new Select retail chain. MG Select will launch exclusive, modern luxury experience centers in 12 major cities across India. The company will launch Mifa 9 EV and Cyberstar next year.
