Modi government's gift before the new year… LPG cylinder becomes cheaper by Rs 39 from today

The government has given a gift to the countrymen by reducing the price of LPG Cylinder before January 1. The government has reduced the price of 19 kg LPG cylinder. The price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has become cheaper by Rs 39.50. There has been no change in the domestic cylinder. The new price has come into effect from today i.e. 22nd December.

Earlier, the price of commercial cylinder was Rs 1796.50 in Delhi, Rs 1749 in Mumbai, Rs 1908 in Kolkata, and Rs 1968.50 in Chennai. Now its price has become cheaper by Rs 39. However, domestic LPG cylinder prices have not been ruled out. After the change, a 19 kg commercial cylinder will now be available for Rs 1757.50 in Delhi, Rs 1869 in Kolkata, Rs 1710 in Mumbai, and Rs 1929.50 in Chennai. The oil marketing company has given this discount even before the Christmas festival and New Year celebrations.

The price of 19 kg LPG cylinder was changed on December 1. However, on November 16, a discount of Rs 57 was given in the price of commercial LPG cylinder. For some time now, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders have been fluctuating almost every month. There have been several revisions in cylinder rates.

There is no change in the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder. On August 30, 2023, the price of domestic LPG gas cylinder was reduced by ₹ 200. According to the update given on the website of Indian Oil, 14.2 kg domestic cylinder is still available at the same rate as on August 30. In Delhi it is Rs 903, in Kolkata it is Rs 929, and in Mumbai it is Rs 902.50.

Saudi contract prices, the index used to determine LG's pricing, have softened in the past few weeks amid concerns of oversupply. The prices of petrol and diesel have remained stable for a record 21st consecutive month. The price of petrol in the national capital is Rs 96.72 per liter and that of diesel is Rs 89.62 per liter.
