More than 200 flights cancell, so many airports temporarily closed, trouble till May 10
More than 200 flights have been canceled in view of the restrictions in view of the restrictions on the missile attacks against Pakistan on Wednesday morning by India. In addition, 18 airports have been temporarily closed in northern and western parts of the country including Srinagar. According to PTI news, Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet, Air India Express, Akasa Air and some foreign airlines have canceled services among many cities in North India.
Air India flights canceled till 10 May
Srinagar, Leh, Jammu, Amritsar, Pathankot, Chandigarh, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Shimla, Dharamshala and Jamnagar Airport have been closed keeping in mind the caution in this time of Tanatani from Pakistan. IndiGo alone has canceled around 160 flights. The airline said that Air India flights from stations like Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh and Rajkot are being canceled on May 10 till 0529 am Indian time. The airline also said in a post on X that during this period, passengers holding valid tickets for the journey will be offered a one -time discount or full refund for cancellation.
Indigo canceled this flight for today
IndiGo said that in view of the current situation, flights from Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Bikaner and Jodhpur have been canceled for today. The airline said in a post on X that we are fearing a change in the flight schedule in our network and honestly advise all the customers to be updated about their flight situation before going to the airport.
Delhi Airport is very affected
In an update on social media platform X, SpiceJet said that airports in parts of North India including Dharamshala, Leh, Jammu, Srinagar and Amritsar are closed until the next notice. Departure, arrival and resulting flights may be affected. The affected passengers can opt for full corresponding or alternative flight according to availability. A source said that at least 35 flights from Delhi Airport, the country’s largest and busiest airport, have been canceled from 12 am. The source said that 23 domestic departure and eight arrival were canceled. In addition, four international departures were canceled.
Akasa Air also canceled flights
Akasa Air said in a post on X that due to the current situation in the area, all its flights from Srinagar have been canceled. Regional carrier Star Air said that its flights from Nanded, Hindon, Adampur, Kishangarh and Bhuj have been canceled for today. Qatar Airways said in a post on X that it had temporarily suspended flights to Pakistan due to the shutdown of Pakistani airs. To avenge the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian Armed Forces carried out missile attacks on nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir as part of Operation Sindoor, including the stronghold of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba’s hideout in Muridke.
