Adani News: Former Attorney General and senior Supreme Court advocate Mukul Rohatgi has defended Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar Adani. Mukul Rohatgi said, Gautam Adani and Sagar Adani have not been accused of bribery and obstruction of justice in America. Gautam Adani – There is no allegation against Sagar Adani
Mukul Rohatgi said, these are my personal views. I am not a spokesperson of Adani Group. I am a lawyer and have appeared in court for Adani Group in many cases. He said, I have seen the allegations of the American court. Five allegations have been made in this. He told that in this case numbers 1 and 5 are the most prominent compared to other cases. But in both case number 1 and case number 5, there is no allegation against Gautam Adani and his nephew. It is similar to a charge sheet in which charges are leveled against persons as per the provisions of the law. He told that Count 1 is against some other people except Adani. This includes some officers and a foreigner. He told that the first charge alleges violation of the American Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the names of Gautam Adani and Sagar Adani are not mentioned in it.

Mukul Rohatgi said that Adani and other people are named in cases related to securities and bonds. In case number 5, which is related to obstruction of justice, Adani and his officials are not named in it. He told that Adani and others will respond to this chargesheet as per their wish. They will also answer to the stock exchanges. Mukul Rohatgi said, these are my personal views after seeing this charge sheet.
Talks about indictment document bother me
Mukul Rohatgi said, some things about the indictment document are disturbing. When you see a chargesheet, it should clearly be written in it that this person has done this, this person has given bribe to some persons. But in this charge sheet I did not find a single name or detail as to who has been bribed in this entire matter and whether he is associated with any department. This charge sheet is completely silent on this matter. He said, I do not understand how anyone can react to such a chargesheet. He said, I am confident that Adani will consult legal advice from American lawyers.
