Sachin Kurmi killed in Mumbai: Led by Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) BJP leader Sachin Kurmi was attacked and killed with a sharp weapon by unknown people in Mumbai’s Byculla area at around 1 am on Saturday (October 4). Mumbai Police said that Sachin Kurmi was attacked with a sharp weapon behind MHADA Colony in Byculla area of Mumbai. Police are also scanning CCTV footage of the area to find clues about the killers. This incident has increased concerns about security in the area.
Mumbai Police said, “NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) Mumbai general secretary was murdered with a sharp weapon by unidentified persons in Mumbai’s Byculla area last night. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.” “Kurmi was attacked with a sharp weapon behind MHADA Colony in Byculla area of Mumbai,” Mumbai Police said.
An official said that the incident happened around 12:30 midnight. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot. Injured Sachin was taken to nearby JJ Hospital, where the doctor declared Kurmi dead after examination.
Mumbai Police said that the police have taken the body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem. Police said that it is not yet clear who attacked Sachin Kurmi. According to the police, 2 to 3 people were involved in the attack. This incident has increased concerns about security in the area. Mumbai Police has registered a case and is investigating the matter.
Murder just before PM Modi’s visit
This development has come at a time when the state is preparing for the upcoming assembly elections. At the same time, both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi are in Maharashtra today (October 5). The Prime Minister is on a one-day visit to Maharashtra, where he will unveil several development projects costing over Rs 56,000 crore. The Prime Minister will begin his tour from Washim, where he will inaugurate the ‘Banjara Heritage Museum’. It celebrates the rich heritage of the Banjara community.
