Dhamtari. District Panchayat Vice President Neeshu Chandrakar inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth lakhs in village Puri of Dhamtari assembly on Tuesday. Here the villagers welcomed Shri Chandrakar by applying gulal. In development works, CC road from Tikaram Nirmalkar house towards Fattelal’s house cost four lakh rupees, CC road construction from Ashok Yadav house towards Hanuman temple across the pond in Kanshipuri cost 3.50 lakh, theater fair premises cost 1.50 lakh, paved drain from Delayheen house to Hiralal. House side cost two lakhs, Shitala temple renovation work Kanshipuri cost five lakhs, mobile tractor water tank cost 2.50 Lakh, shed construction work in Gothan includes cost of Rs 50 thousand.
Similarly, additional room of primary school cost 10 lakh, theater construction work near Panchayat Bhawan cost 1.72 lakh, drain construction work from Balram Ghar towards Chova Ghar cost 1.80 lakh, Devgudi construction work in Ward 5 cost 50 thousand, drinking water system in Kanshipuri. The ritual and bhoomi pujan of development works costing Rs 80 thousand was inaugurated. Block Congress Committee Rural President Ghanshyam Sahu presided over the inauguration and Bhoomi Pujan program organized at Gram Panchayat Puri. Special guests district members Vijay Gaikwad, Sukhdev Netam, Punuram Nirmalkar, Rahul Bakhtani, Lalit Yadav, Chaman Lal Sahu, Deputy Sarpanch Puri Pushpendra Sahu were present. Describing the process of running Gothan by Gram Panchayat in the past as excellent, Shri Chandrakar said that many public welfare schemes were run by former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel of the Congress government to strengthen the rural economy, in which Gothan was constructed in every Panchayat.
