Noida News: New Year is around the corner and no celebration is complete without alcohol. If you are thinking of partying with your friends and you live in Noida or Greater Noida, then this news is for you. Excise officer of Gautam Buddha told that if you live in Noida or Greater Noida. And if you have a party at home and serve liquor, then now you will have to get a license. At the same time, if you serve liquor in a community hall or restaurant, you will still have to obtain a license.
2 types of licenses will be available
Subodh Kumar Srivastava, District Excise Officer (DEO) of Gautam Budh Nagar, said that if you do not have a liquor license for parties at home or community level, then it can be considered a violation of rules and legal action can be taken including fine. Officials say that two types of licenses will be given. If someone holds a party at home and serves liquor, he will have to pay Rs 4000 for the license. Whereas if liquor is served on a large scale like in a community hall or restaurant, then Rs 11,000 will have to be paid for the license.
Action will be taken if law is violated
In Noida and Greater Noida, if there is no liquor license for parties even at home or community level, then it can be considered a violation of rules and legal action can be taken including fine. According to an official data, 5820 such licenses were issued from April 1 to November 30 in 2022, while 8770 licenses were issued during the same period in this financial year. Thus there has been a 40 percent increase in licenses.
