New Delhi: A woman has been arrested in Noida for intimidating police personnel by impersonating an officer. Authorities reported that she used spoof calls displaying the mobile numbers of officials in the Centralized User Group (CUG). The suspect used the PORTSIP app to facilitate these calls and altered her voice to sound like a male officer using the MAGICCALL app.

This is not the first time the woman has run afoul of the law, as she has been jailed multiple times in the past. In her impersonation attempts, she claimed to be a high-ranking official, including positions such as IAS, IPS, and from the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). The police are investigating the full extent of her actions and any potential victims.

Woman held for posing as RPF Sub-Inspector

Earlier this year, a 25-year-old woman, Jadala Malavika, was arrested by the Telangana Railway Police for impersonating a Railway Protection Force (RPF) Sub-Inspector. For the past year, she posed as a railway police officer, traveling from Nalgonda to Secunderabad on Panadu Express and using a fake ID to deceive passengers and locals. Malavika even attended public events, gaining recognition, including an International Women’s Day function. She confessed to the fraud, explaining that she did it to please her father and relatives. Police recovered an RPF uniform, fake ID, and name plate. A case was registered under multiple IPC sections.
