NRC should be implemented to control crime in Delhi: Vijendra Gupta
New Delhi, November 29 (IANS). On the question raised by former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Assembly on law and order, Leader of Opposition Vijendra Gupta said that these people are politicizing the issue. Women have become most insecure under the rule of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
He said that a Rajya Sabha MP was beaten up by someone close to Kejriwal at the Chief Minister’s residence. Kejriwal is giving shelter to Rohingya in Delhi. The leader of his party, who is the mastermind of the Delhi riots, is in jail. Rohingya, Bangladeshi infiltrators are encroaching. Our demand is that NRC should be implemented in Delhi. NRC is the only option to control crime.
He said that when elections come, they make the issue of law and order. He himself has honored 36 people of Delhi Police with Rs 1 crore for their good works. They raise the issue of law and order so that people’s attention is diverted from their promises. I want to say that the Delhi government should bring a proposal regarding NRC in the Assembly.
He also reacted to Maharashtra Congress leader Bhai Jagtap’s controversial remarks on the Election Commission. He said that it is a very shameful statement. I condemn this in the strongest terms. Indian democracy and Indian electoral system is an example for the whole world. As soon as Congress loses the elections, it gets upset and starts making absurd statements. Congress people should tell whether they agree with what the Congress leader has said. Is Rahul Gandhi calling the Congress people who are making such statements? I feel that now the bankruptcy of Congress is coming to the fore.
The Leader of Opposition said that even on Bus Marshal, the Aam Aadmi Party government is just doing politics. During the discussion it was not told why he was removed. It was in the LG’s order that they should be deployed as civil defense volunteers. Delhi Assembly elections will be triangular. But, BJP is far ahead of Aam Aadmi Party.
