Pakistan’s firing in Jammu and Kashmir, 16 people killed

After Operation Sindoor, Pakistan on Thursday also violated the ceasefire in Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri and Akhnoor in Jammu and Kashmir for the second consecutive day.

The Ministry of External Affairs said on Thursday that sixteen people, including three women and five children, have lost their lives in Poonch. While 59 people have been injured.

Lance hero Dinesh Kumar (32) was martyred in firing in Poonch. He was a resident of Palwal, Haryana. Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi paid tribute to Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar.

The Indian Army said- We are standing in solidarity with those innocent citizens who have been victims of attacks in the Poonch sector. The nefarious intentions of our enemies will also be demolished further.

Several houses caught fire due to shelling in Karnah sector of Kupwara district. Amidst tension, many people from Akhnoor region left their homes and moved to safe places.

Dinesh was admitted to the army in 2014

After Operation Sindoor, Pakistan started firing, while Dinesh started firing with some of his colleagues. Then a bomb fell in front of him from Pakistan, in which Dinesh and his 4 companions were badly injured as soon as they were blasted.

After which he died in the hospital. On Thursday, the body of the martyr will be brought to Mohammadpur village in Palwal, where he will be cremated with state honors.

Jawan’s father Dayaram told that Dinesh was admitted to the army in 2014. In the last 11 years, Dinesh’s posting has been in many states of the country. These days he was in Poonch, Jammu. Recently he was promoted to the post of Lance Nayak.
