Today, Assembly Speaker Ravindra Mahato suspended 18 BJP MLAs for 2 days after the ‘sleeping’ protest in the House. BJP MLAs have been protesting since Wednesday afternoon, they staged a protest in the well of the House and when the marshals were taken out from there, they went into the corridor at around 10 pm. Finally, around 2 o’clock in the night, he was taken out of the assembly.
The MLAs who have been suspended include Anant Ojha, Raj Sinha, Neera Yadav, Kishun Das, CP Singh, Kedar Hazra, Aparna Sengupta, Biranchi Narayan, Samri Lal, Naveen Jaiswal, Shashi Bhushan Mehta, Pushpa Devi, Narayan Das, Koche Munda. , Bhanu Pratap Shahi and Amit Mandal are included. Earlier in the morning, as soon as the House proceedings began, BJP MLAs continued their protest, demanding answers from Chief Minister Hemant Soren on various issues. JMM MLA Sudivya Sonu proposed action against the protesting MLAs to take over the House. Taking immediate action on the proposal of JMM MLAs, the Speaker suspended all the 18 MLAs who were protesting in the House. The special thing is that an unprecedented step was taken by BJP MLAs in Jharkhand Assembly. Where they gathered in the well of the House and even after Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato adjourned the House, they kept demanding answers from Chief Minister Hemant Soren on various issues.
