Petrol Rs 8.36 and diesel expensive by Rs 10.39 per liter, Pakistan increased oil

Earlier, Pakistan recently increased the price of petrol by Rs 4.80 per liter and diesel by Rs 7.95 per liter.
Petrol price became Rs 266.79 per liter in Pakistan
According to the notification of the Finance Department, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 8.36 per liter, due to which its new price has increased from Rs 258.43 to Rs 266.79 per liter. The price of high-speed diesel has increased by Rs 10.39 per liter, due to which its price has increased from Rs 262.59 to Rs 272.98 per liter. New prices of petrol and diesel in Pakistan have come into effect from July 1.
Government of Pakistan also increased carbon levy on petrol and diesel
According to the Pakistani media report, the latest increase in the prices of petrol and diesel has been done after the recommendations of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and the concerned ministries. The government said that the increase in fuel prices was due to fluctuations in international market trends, affecting global oil prices. According to the report, the Pakistani government has also imposed a carbon levy of Rs 2.50 per liter on petrol and diesel. Petroleum Development Levi (PDL) on petrol has now been reduced to Rs 75.52 per liter, while diesel will be charged Rs 74.51 per liter.
