BY A STAFF REPORTER: A day after Gangster-turned-politician’s controversial death, Piyush Rai, son of Slain Krishnanand Rai, on Friday stated that justice has been served and his death was a result of his wrongdoings.
Son of Slain Krishnanand Rai, Piyush Rai shared that the whole family was rejoicing as the ‘tyrant’ Mukhtar Ansari passed away. Moreover, Piyush Rai took a jibe at the Opposition parties for their reaction to Ansari’s death. “The Opposition parties want to do politics. They are looking for an issue and are supporting a criminal,” he added.
Moreover, BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai was murdered by Mukhtar Ansari in 2005 while returning home after inaugurating a cricket tournament. His aides were attacked with AK-47s. A Ghazipur court found Ansari guilty and sentenced him to 10 years of Imprisonment in April 2023.
Don-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari passed away due to cardiac arrest in Banda Medical College, Uttar Pradesh. His son Umar Ansari alleged that Mukhtar was subjected to slow poisoning since March 19. He also claimed that Mukhtar Ansari was not receiving adequate attention considering his health in the prison. His post-mortem is underway and being videographed.
