Prabhas fan dies of electric shock while erecting ‘Salaar’ flexi
In a tragic incident, a 29-year-old youth named Balaraju — a die-hard fan of Rebel Star Prabhas — was electrocuted while erecting a flexi related to the latest box office flick Salaar.
The incident occurred on Friday, 22 December at Ranga theatre near Dharmavaram in the Sathya Sai district of Andhra Pradesh.
According to police, Balaraju failed to notice a live wire and came into contact with it. He died instantly.
Meanwhile, family members of the deceased and Prabhas fans at the venue expressed their anger against the officials for negligence.
Untoward incidents were reported in various locations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. It is reported that theatre owners had to call off the show due to the frenzied atmosphere and the celebrations of fans.
Salaar reportedly raked in an impressive ₹100 to ₹110 crore on its opening day in all centres of the domestic market.
Its strong pull at the box office is attributed to Prabhas’ star power. In the Telugu states, Salaar is witnessing full-house shows with an average occupancy of around 90 percent.
