Beijing, November 28 (IANS). On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the All-China Supply and Marketing Cooperative Federation, Chinese President Xi Jinping issued important instructions highlighting the need for quality development in supply and marketing cooperative efforts. He extended best wishes to the workers and workers of the system and congratulated the excellent units and individuals.
President Xi said that over the past 70 years, supply and marketing cooperatives have played an important role in serving both urban and rural communities, enhancing the rural economy, reducing poverty, increasing farmers’ income and contributing to rural revitalization.
He stressed that in this new era and with new missions, Party committees and governments at all levels should increase their leadership and support for supply and marketing cooperative work, and take full advantage of the strengths of these organizations .
Xi urged cooperatives to strengthen their role in connecting the Party, government and farmers, so as to create a new chapter in the quality development of cooperative work.
It is noteworthy that a grand ceremony was organized in the country’s capital Beijing on November 28 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the All-China Supply and Marketing Cooperative Union.
