Another case of breakdown of law and order has come to light in West Bengal. In East Midnapore, a mob beat a rape accused to death.
The accused had kidnapped a woman a few days ago. After this, they raped and also tried to kill the victim by poisoning her. The woman was admitted to the hospital for treatment, where she died on Sunday.
As soon as the news of the woman’s death reached the village, people became furious. They caught the accused and beat him until he died. Later the police arrived and took the body into custody. The video of the beating of the accused has also surfaced.
The housewife was abducted from her house in Patashpur area of East Midnapore. After this she was brutally raped. After the heinous crime, the accused tried to kill her by pouring poisonous pesticide down her throat.
