Many people like the taste of idli. Some people eat it for breakfast, some during the day or even for dinner. This is a delicious and nutritious dish. You can make it in a very short time and serve it to your family. So let’s know about its recipe.
Material:
1 cup semolina
1/2 cup curd
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp mustard
1 tablespoon oil
1/2 teaspoon cumin
3-4 curry leaves
1 finely chopped green chilli
1 tsp chana dal
a pinch of asafoetida
1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger
2 tbsp finely chopped carrots
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
salt to taste
1 tsp eno fruit salt
Instruction:
-Mix semolina with curd and water in a bowl. Cover it and keep it aside for 5 minutes, until the semolina absorbs water and swells.
– Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, chopped green chillies, chopped ginger, chopped carrots, gram, asafoetida, turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Fry for half a minute.
-Add this tempering to the semolina mixture and mix well.
– Now add eno fruit salt and salt and mix the batter well.
-Grease the idli mold with oil. Pour the batter into the moulds.
-Cook the idlis in a steamer or microwave for about 15 minutes until they are cooked.
– Serve hot and fluffy Rava Idli with tomato sauce, green chutney or coconut chutney.
