RSS’s Dattatreya Hosabale calls for ‘immediate release’ of Chinmoy Krishna Das from Bangladesh jail | India News

The RSS condemned the violent attacks on Hindus and minorities in Bangladesh, urging the government to ensure their safety and release ISKCON monk Chinmoy Krishna Das from jail. It also called on India and the global community to take decisive action against these atrocities.

Dattatreya Hosabale, Sar Karyavah (general secretary) of the RSS, issued a statement condemning the actions of Islamic extremists and criticizing the lack of response from Bangladeshi authorities.

New Delhi: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Saturday raised serious concerns about the violence targeting Hindus and other minority communities in Bangladesh. Dattatreya Hosabale, Sar Karyavah (general secretary) of the RSS, issued a statement condemning the actions of Islamic extremists and criticizing the lack of response from Bangladeshi authorities.

“The attacks, including killings, lootings, arson, and the inhumane atrocities against women, are deeply concerning,” Hosabale said, adding that the RSS strongly denounced these acts.

RSS expresses concerns over injustice and oppression

The RSS claimed that Bangladeshi government and its agencies have failed to protect minority communities and have instead acted as bystanders. “The current Bangladeshi government is not only ignoring these atrocities but also oppressing Hindus who raise their voices for self-defense through democratic means,” Hosabale said.

The RSS highlighted the imprisonment of Chinmoy Krishna Das, a monk from ISKCON, who has been leading peaceful protests against the violence. “Sending Chinmoy Krishna Das to jail for peacefully leading protests is a grave injustice,” Hosabale said.

Demands for immediate action

The RSS called on Bangladeshi government to take swift measures to stop the violence. “The government of Bangladesh must immediately ensure the safety of Hindus and other minorities and release Chinmoy Krishna Das from imprisonment,” the statement read.

The RSS has also urged the Indian government to intensify efforts to end the violence against minorities in Bangladesh. “We request the Indian government to take all necessary steps to protect Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh and to build global consensus on this issue,” Hosabale said.

Additionally, the RSS appealed to international communities and institutions to support the victims and pressure their governments to act. “The global community must stand with the victims and demand action from their respective governments. This is essential for world peace and harmony,” the statement read.
