Teacher Care Cyber Fraud: Searching customer care number on Google proved to be very difficult for a teacher. Actually, a retired teacher was cheated of Rs 21 thousand. When there was a problem with the SIM, the teacher searched the customer care number on Google, but it turned out to be that of a fraudster.
The fraudster sent a QR code on WhatsApp to lodge a complaint. As soon as this code was scanned, 21 thousand rupees were deducted from the teacher’s account. He came to know of the fraud after receiving a message on his mobile. On the basis of the number, Shahpura police station is tracing the location of the thug.

Regarding the matter, Shahpura police station in-charge said that John Mathew (65), resident of South City Enclave, is a retired teacher. There was a problem with his SIM for some days. He searched Jio customer care number on Google. He got a number, which belonged to some swindler. John Mathew called and informed about the problem.
After listening to him, the thug told that a QR code is being sent on his WhatsApp to solve his problem. Scan it and lodge a complaint. As soon as he scanned the QR code received from an unknown number, Rs 21,000 was deducted from his account. When the message came, John Mathew came to know that he had been cheated.

According to cyber police, never search customer care numbers on Google. He has entered his numbers. As soon as the search is done, the same numbers pop up and people become victims of fraud.
