Mumbai. Today, on the last trading day of the week i.e. Friday (22 December), there was a rise in the stock market. Sensex closed at the level of 71,106 with a gain of 241 points. At the same time, Nifty also rose by 94 points. It closed at the level of 21,349. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 20 saw a rise and 10 saw a fall. The fastest growth was seen in IT and realty sectors.
LIC shares made 52 week high
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) saw a jump of about 7 percent in early trade and the share reached the highest level of Rs 821. The company's shares on Friday rose 7.39 percent to an intraday high of Rs 821, which is a 52-week high. However, later the stock came down and closed at 792.20 with a rise of 3.62 percent.
