Sensex closed at 80,248 with a rise of 445 points.
Mumbai. Today, on December 2, the first trading day of the week, the Sensex closed at 80,248 with a gain of 445 points. Nifty also gained 144 points and closed at the level of 24,276.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 21 rose and 9 declined. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 31 rose and 18 declined. Whereas, there was no change in 1 share. All the NSE Sectoral Index except FMCG and PSU Bank closed with gains.
There was mixed trading in Asian markets
In the Asian market, Japan’s Nikkei rose by 0.80 percent and Korea’s Kospi declined by 0.058 percent. Whereas China’s Shanghai Composite Index closed with a rise of 1.13 percent. According to NSE data, foreign investors sold shares worth Rs 4,383.55 crore on Friday (November 29). During this period, domestic investors bought shares worth Rs 5,723.34 crore. On November 29, America’s Dow Jones closed at 44,910, up 0.42 percent, and the S&P 500 closed at 6,032, up 0.56 percent. Nasdaq also closed at 19,218 with a rise of 0.83 percent.
There was a rise in the market on Friday
Earlier on Friday i.e. 29th November, Sensex had closed at the level of 79,802 with a gain of 759 points. There was a rise of 216 points in Nifty, it closed at the level of 24,131. At the same time, BSE Smallcap rose 417 points and closed at 55,199. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 26 were up and 4 were down. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 43 were up and 7 were down. In the sectoral indices of NSE, except realty and PSU banking sectors, all closed with a rise.
