Shilpa Shetty’s name is included in the list of top actresses of Bollywood today. But in the initial days of his career, many producers rejected him from the film without any reason. When he participated in Big Brother, other contestants of the show discriminated against him on the basis of colour. Not only this, after the birth of her first child, Shilpa had to struggle with postpartum depression.

It seemed that she would not be able to do anything better, a photographer changed her life.
Shilpa made her Bollywood debut in 1993 with the film Baazigar. In an interview with Humans of Bombay, she told about her initial struggle, I was a black, tall and thin girl. After graduation, I had to help my father in his work. Although I had a desire in my heart to do something different, something bigger and better, I felt that perhaps I would never be able to do it. But when I participated in a fashion show, I met an American photographer there who wanted to take my pictures. These words of his inspired me a lot. Felt that I could do better with this physique.

Later, Shilpa got her photoshoot done by an American photographer, who circulated it to many modeling agencies. After this, Shilpa started getting offers for modeling. After completing 10th class, Shilpa started her career as a model with a TV ad of Limca. After this she was a part of many modeling projects.

Many producers pulled out of the film without any reason
Shilpa had further said, soon I got the offer of my first film and from there I did not look back. I was moving forward, but good things never come easy. After some time, there came a time when my career started going downfall. Many producers threw me out of their films without any reason.

Shilpa was a victim of apartheid in reality show
Shilpa was seen as a contestant in Celebrity Big Brother 5. He had to face apartheid during this show. Talking about this, she had said – Because of the country I belonged to, I was publicly threatened and discriminated against. it was not easy. I was alone in that house but I pushed myself forward alone.

Shilpa was very sad due to all these things. She used to wish every day that she would be eliminated and removed from the show, but she remained a part of the show till the end and also became the winner.
