Jhunjhunu, 28 April (Hindustan Reporter) Sree JJT University, Jhunjhunu won the three-day long All India Inter University Quan Ki Do Championship by winning 9 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 3 bronze medals and stood first in the men's and women's categories and got the honor of becoming the overall champion. The winning players were honored with trophies and medals by Dr. Baljit Singh Sekhon, Joint Secretary, All India University Association, in the presence of University Chancellor Dr. Vinod Tibdewala and Vice Chancellor Dr. Devendra Singh Dhull.
250 talented players from 34 universities of the country participated in the three-day All India Inter University Kwan Ki Do Championship held at Sree JJT University Campus. At the closing ceremony of the championship and the prize distribution ceremony, the chief guest, Joint Secretary of AIU, Dr. Baljit Singh Sekhon said that All India University Association works in more than 1000 universities in the country to hone the talent of youth in the field of sports and culture. Their responsibility becomes like that of a guardian, a mother, who has to provide equal opportunities to everyone.
He said that the better infrastructure of Sree JJT University should be used for the youth across the country. In this regard, he announced that the University will host the upcoming national level youth festival, so that the rich culture of the Rajasthan region can be shared with the talented youth from every corner of the country.
