Lucknow: In a shocking incident reported from Lucknow, a speeding car rammed into a scooter and dragged it for nearly 1-km on Kisan Path. The video of the shocking incident has gone viral. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of SGPGI police station on Thursday evening.
As the incident unfolded, several commuters passing through the highway recorded the video and informed police, said a report in Times of India. As soon as police received the information, a contingent of police from Kalli West outpost reached the spot.

Police identify accused driver
Police say they have taken the car driver into custody and he is being questioned. The accused driver has been identified as 70-year-old Chandraprakash Tiwari. The driver hails from Tiwariganj area of Prayagraj district. The incident took place when he was heading to Chinhat.
The victims on the scooter have been identified as Amir and Rihan, who were on their way to Mohanlalganj from Aishbag.
Amir has suffered injuries to his hands and legs. Police said they are probing the matter and appropriate action will be taken.

The video of the incident has gone viral. The video shows the vehicle driver dragging the scooter on the Lucknow highway without any hesitation. As the scooter was dragged, sparks flew continuously risking the explosion in petrol tank. But the accused Chandraprakash Tiwari did not care for any untoward incident that could have happened and may have even taken his own life.
