Sri Lanka India Relations: Sri Lankan pirates have attacked a group of fishermen from Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu in the middle of the sea. During this period, the bandits also looted the fishermen extensively. A fisherman, identified as Murugan, was injured in the attack. He was immediately admitted to the government hospital in Nagapattinam.

According to the report of news agency INS, the attack took place in the Indian waters near the international border, 15 nautical miles off the Nagapattinam coast.&nbsp ;Tamil Nadu Coastal Police informed that pirates had looted walkie-talkies and GPS from the boat.
