New Delhi: Indian indices recovered from multi-day lows on Friday to close over 2 per cent higher. While the Sensex was up 1,961.32 points or 2.54 per cent to 79,117.11, the Nifty surged 557.35 points or 2.39 per cent to 23,907.25 last week. All eyes will be on the effects of the Assembly election result in Maharashtra, whose capital Mumbai is the financial capital of India.
Global factors such as Russia-Ukraine tensions and a jump in crude oil prices continue to keep investors on edge owing to their impact on inflation, said Santosh Meena, Head of Research at Swastika Investmart. Here are stocks that are likely to be in focus on Monday, November 25:
Adani Green Energy: The company’s stocks will be in focus apart from other Adani Group listed stocks after Gautam Adani, nephew Sagar Adani were served summons by the US SEC in an alleged bribery case.
Zomato: The company’s stock will replace JSW Steel in the BSE Sensex from December 23. The company;’s board also gave its nod for a Rs 8,500 crore fundraise via QIP.
CESC: The company’s unit Eminenet Electricity Distribution received a letter of intent to acquire a discom in Chandigarh, in a deal worth Rs 871 crore.
RVNL: The railway PSU secured a Rs 837.7 crore contract from the Eastern Railways for an infrastructure project. The work will be carried out by an RVNL-SCPL joint venture.
RITES: The PSU giant reported a surge in costs for the execution of a railway electrification project in Lumding-Badarpur section under the Northeast Frontier Railway to Rs 531.77 crore from RS 288.44 crore earlier.
