Struggle for confirmed train tickets is very common during festivals like Diwali and Chhath.
People returning to their homes from different states on Diwali, Bhaiya Dooj and Chhath festivals are facing problems. Because when people returning home from other states including Delhi, Howrah go for reservation tickets, they are told about the long list of waiting tickets in various trains.
However, for the convenience of railway passengers, many pairs of special trains are being run from different stations. Despite this the crowd is not decreasing. The situation of crowding in trains is such that one cannot even find a place to stand, let alone sit in a normal bogie, be it a sleeper or an air-conditioned one.
