Supreme Court got angry on UP police
New Delhi. The Supreme Court has strongly reprimanded the UP Police today. Commenting on the working style of the police, the Supreme Court said that the UP Police is enjoying power. He needs to be sensitive. Actually, the Supreme Court was hearing the anticipatory bail application of gangster Anurag Dubey alias Dabban. During this, he made strict comments on the UP Police.
The bench of Justices Surya Kant and Ujjwal Bhuiyan said during the hearing that the UP Police is ‘enjoying power’. He needs to be sensitive. The officers are not realizing that they are entering a dangerous area. Cases are being registered one after the other against the petitioner. In one case, a case of possession of land has been made out despite purchase through registry.
The Supreme Court had also said that the investigating officer can send a notice to Anurag Dubey over phone to appear for investigation. After receiving the notice, he should appear to cooperate in the investigation. During the hearing on Thursday, it was found that the petitioner is still in danger of arrest. Due to this he could not appear.

Expressing its deep displeasure on this, the Supreme Court told senior lawyer Rana Mukherjee, appearing for the UP government, that you tell your DGP that if the petitioner is touched, then you will give such an order that he will remember for the rest of his life. It is not possible that you file a new case against the petitioner every time. We have given him interim relief and asked him to cooperate in the investigation. Let him do it.
