New Delhi: Suryakumar Yadav is ready to target Virat Kohli’s big record in the upcoming third T20 against Australia. If Suryakumar is successful in scoring 60 runs in the match, he will leave Virat Kohli behind as the fastest Indian batsman to reach 2000 runs in T20 cricket. Currently this record is in the name of Kohli, he has achieved this position in 56 innings.

Suryakumar Yadav has displayed excellent batting skills and scored 1940 runs in 52 innings of 55 T20 matches for India. His impressive average of 46.19 and strike rate of 173.52 shows his huge contribution to the team. Being just 60 runs away from the record of 2000 runs, Suryakumar has a chance to create history in the upcoming match to be held at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

If Suryakumar achieves this feat, he will not only break Kohli’s record but will also become the third fastest player globally to reach the 2000-run mark in T20 cricket.

Currently, this record is in the name of former Pakistan captain Babar Azam, who achieved this feat in 52 innings. The thing to note is that Babar Azam achieved this feat in less innings than his compatriot Mohammad Rizwan and topped the list.

The third match of the 5-match T20 series between India and Australia is quite interesting, after winning the first two matches, Team India aims to take an unassailable lead.
