Suspended IPS Vikas Kumar in the Bengaluru stampede case was restored by the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) on Tuesday. The CAT Tribunal said that the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are responsible for the accident.

CAT said, “The police is not God or a magician. If the police do not give enough time to arrange, then it cannot be expected to control the huge crowd.

RCB did not take permission from the police before the Victory Parade. Suddenly posted information on social media platforms, due to which the crowd gathered. The franchise is responsible for gathering a crowd of 5 lakh people. ”

After winning the IPL Trophy, RCB took out the Victory Parade on 4 June. During this time there was a stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium, 11 people were killed and 75 people were injured. IPS officer Vikas Kumar was suspended in this case.

The tribunal said the suspension is not based on strong evidence. Police officers have been suspended without any adequate evidence or base. This order is canceled.

The government suspended 3 IPS officers under the All India Service (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1969 in the Bengaluru stampede case. Action was taken against ACP and PI under the Karnataka State Police Rules, 1965.
