Doha, 26 February (HS). The Israeli delegation is likely to reach Qatar today. The delegation hopes to conclude a new agreement for a temporary ceasefire with Hamas in Qatar and the release of some hostages held in Gaza.

According to the report of American news The New York Times, an Israeli official has given this information. Earlier on Friday, talks were held in Paris between the Israeli delegation and mediators from America, Qatar and Egypt. According to this official, the Israeli delegation has agreed to the basic outline of this agreement. This would include a six-week ceasefire and the exchange of about 40 hostages for Palestinian prisoners held in Israel.

According to the report, the Israeli official said that the Israeli Cabinet approved the broad terms on Saturday night. It aims to reach an agreement around March 10, the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
