Piyush had been struggling with the problem of liver cirrhosis for a long time, about which the doctor also warned him. Now Shubhangi openly discussed about the health of her former late husband. He also talked about his relationship with Piyush and became very emotional during this period.

But, I think he was caused by his addiction. The doctors had already said that if he did not change his lifestyle soon, then anything can happen. Doctors also asked him to change his lifestyle. So I knew somewhere that anything could happen, they can be killed anytime. But, it did not think that it would be so soon. I did not know this at all.
I want to remember Piyush for good things- Shubhangi
Shubhangi said- ‘I just want to remember them for all the good things. I loved them and I can never forget this. I just want to keep Piyush in good memories. Even today, I just say that keep blessing Ashi. I always want to guide both of us, that’s all. Piyush was addicted to alcohol and the doctors had already said that it could happen if he did not change lifestyle.
Divorce after 22 years of marriage
Let me tell you, Shubhangi Atre married Piyush Atre in 2003. They also have a daughter named Ashi. However, the two separated in February 2025. Shubhangi surprised everyone by announcing separation from Piyush. Both of them had been married for 22 years. Shubhangi and Piyush had decided to divorce after staying together for 22 years. Shubhangi had told that both were divorced due to Piyush’s alcohol addiction. Piyush died in April.
