Car News Desk – Mumbai-based startup company Storm Motors had announced its electric car 4 years ago i.e. in 2021. It was a mini electric car named Strom R3. The company had then also started its pre-booking. For this, a token amount of Rs 10,000 was being charged from the customers. The special thing was that its price was kept less than Rs 5 lakh. Some reports said that its price would be Rs 4.5 lakh. In this way, it will also be the cheapest electric car in the country. However, now this car has completely disappeared from Sukhiya.
Features and Specifications of Strom R3
The Strom R3 has two doors and three wheels. It has one wheel at the back and two wheels at the front. It was specifically designed keeping in mind cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. To give it a muscular look, the company has also given it a small bonnet, large blackout grille, wide air dam, LED lights, dual tone and sunroof.
Its length is 2907 mm, width is 1405 mm and height is 1572 mm. It has a ground clearance of 185 mm. The total weight of the car is 550 kg. It has 13 inch steel wheels. It has a high efficiency motor of 13 kW power. It generates torque of 48 Nm. With the fast charger, this car gets charged up to 80% in 2 hours. This car takes about 3 hours to be fully charged. It can also be charged from regular 15 ampere socket.
Regarding Strom R3, the company had claimed that it gives a driving range of up to 200Km in a single charge. It costs only 40 paise per kilometer to drive this car. This car was to be introduced in 3 variants. The range of different variants includes driving range of 120Km, 160Km and 200Km. The company had given 4 color options in it. This included electric blue, neon blue, red and black colors.
Talking about its features, it included features like 12-way adjustable driving seat, 4.3 digital instrument console, climate control, remote keyless entry, 7-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment system, IOT enabled continuous monitoring system, 4G connectivity, voice control. The company claimed that its maintenance is up to 80% less than that of a normal car. At the same time, around Rs 3 lakh can be saved in 3 years.
