Japanese auto giant Nissan Motor has achieved sales of 3,043 units in April thanks to its only model Magnite sub-compact SUV.

Nissan sold 2,404 units of Exeter, Punch Raiwal Magnite in India last month. Another 639 units of Magnite SUV were exported by Nissan Motor during the same period. Between April 2023 and March this year, Nissan Motor sold more than 30,000 units of the Magnite SUV. This is the third consecutive year that the carmaker has achieved this feat.

The Magnite SUV is the only model offered by Nissan Motor in India. It is available at a starting price of Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom). The price of the SUV goes up to Rs 9.65 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end Kuro edition of the SUV, which was launched in India last year.

The Magnite SUV made its India debut in 2020 and has since boosted the carmaker's sales in the country. The SUV has found more than one lakh takers since its launch. Over 30,000 units have been exported to 15 other countries such as Seychelles, Bangladesh, Uganda and Brunei. Engine Powertrain and Mileage

The Magnite SUV is powered by two sets of 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engines. The naturally aspirated unit generates 70bhp of maximum power and 96Nm of peak torque. Its turbocharged engine can generate power of 98 bhp and torque output of 152 Nm. Both engines come with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT. The turbocharged unit gets a CVT automatic transmission, whose torque output is 160NM.

Nissan Magnite 17.40 km in the variant with CVT gearbox. Provides fuel efficiency per litre. Mileage of AMT gearbox variant is 19.70 km. per litre, while the manual gearbox variant returns 19.35 km. Promises to give mileage per litre. The turbo petrol version gives a mileage of 20 kilometers per litre.
