Moong Dal Toast is a healthy and protein-rich breakfast made with sprouted moong dal and bread. You can prepare this recipe easily at home.

It does not take much time to make it. This is a healthy and tasty breakfast, eating which will not increase your weight. So let us tell you how to make moong dal toast.

Ingredients to make Moong Dal Toast

  • 1 cup sprouted moong dal
  • 4-6 slices of bread
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 green chilli, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • butter or oil for baking

How to make Moong Dal Toast

Wash and filter sprouted moong dal. In a mixing bowl, add sprouted moong dal, chopped onion, tomatoes, green chillies (if using), coriander, cumin, turmeric powder and salt.
Mix everything well to combine the ingredients.

Take one piece of bread and spread the moong dal mixture evenly on one side of the bread. Heat a non-stick pan or tawa and spread some butter or oil on it.
Place the bread slices with the moong dal mixture face down on the pan.

Bake the bread on medium flame until it becomes golden brown and crispy. Turn the bread slices and cook the other side until it also becomes toasted and crispy.

Remove the moong dal toast from the pan and repeat the process with the remaining slices of bread and moong dal mixture. Cut the toast into halves or quarters and serve hot with ketchup or chutney of your choice.
