Employees availing the benefits of the Employment Linked Incentive Scheme run by the Employees Provident Fund Organization will have to activate their Universal Account Number and link Aadhaar with the bank account. If employees fail to do so by the date fixed by the government, they will not get the benefit of Employment Linked Incentive.

The Employment Linked Incentive Scheme has three categories ABC and was announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Union Budget of July 2024. Let us tell you all that the employees joining the job for the first time under ELI scheme get the direct benefit through transfer. In such a situation, to avail the benefits of this scheme, all the employees will have to activate their UAN before 30 November 2020 while the Aadhar card will have to be linked to the bank.

Let us tell you that once you activate UAN, employees can avail the services related to Provident Fund Organization online. This includes many services including details related to their PF account, viewing and downloading PF passbook, withdrawal, submitting online clock claim for advance transfer, updating personal details.

Activate UAN through EPFO ​​member

To activate UAN, first of all you have to go to Employees Provident Fund Organization Member Portal https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/.
After this, go to the Important Links section and click on Active UAN.
Here enter your UAN number, Aadhaar number, date of birth and mobile number linked to Aadhaar. After this you will get an OTP on the registered mobile number.
Complete the activation by entering the OTP, after which you will receive a password on your mobile number.
